Today you will hear from Habib. Habib was born in Afghanistan but had to run away from his home many times due to war and being in danger. He now lives in London. Habib has experienced some extremely difficult times but believes that we all should help each other and be friends. We will think about how we can overcome difficulties and spread kindness and friendship with everyone.

 

Ask your child to close their eyes and picture having a happy time with their friends. What does that feel like? How does that feel in their bodies? Can they match a colour to that feeling?

After watching the video, discuss the video and how your child feels. When is it difficult to make friends with someone?  What qualities make a good friend? Which of these does Habib show?

Using the hearts, ask your child to write ways in which they can make friends. They may use the ideas that Habib mentions or their own thoughts.
