Squares and Cubes

 

L I can use squares and cubes as a strategy for multiplication

 

 

Today, we are going to revise squares and cubes. During the last test and general work, some of us have forgotten how to calculate squares and cubes. It is an important strategy as it is a quick way to calculate multiplication and division questions. It is a year 6 video. Do not worry about it been year 6 because some of you were doing that level of work in school. The video will go on to long multiplication. I know most of you can do long multiplication as a preferred; use the method you are comfortable with.

The video will go through the same format; I will select the teaching section you will need.
