Hello Year One!, this week we are still focusing on addition and subtraction.  We are adding by making ten and we should all know our number bonds to ten (keep practising these!) We will also be looking at subtraction later in the week.  You can either print off the worksheets to write your answers on, or else use your homework book to record your answers.  Remember to email all your work to year1@stmryb20.org.  We are looking forward to seeing all you work. 

Today, we are going to have a practical activity day.  Your task today is to  use your toys to add by making ten.  If you have teddy bears, lego bricks, bouncy balls.  You can even use forks or spoons from the kitchen (remember to ask whoever is at home before you take the cutlery!)  You can either print off the tens frames or draw your own.  Place your items on the tens frames and write your number sentence underneath.  I will include a tens frames and an example below.  Remember to have fun and email your work to year1@stmryb20.org.
