Updates Week Beginning Monday 20th July 2020

Summer learning and transition materials can now be found under 'Transition Summer 2020- Autumn 2020'. This has information about our September curriculum and how best to prepare. It also has your end of year message from your class teacher.

This page will be archived soon and updates will be found on your transition pages. Links to TTRockstars and Education City can still be found on your class pages.

Remember, we continue to take part in the School Games online challenges. You can register at https://www.sgochallenge.com/ with the invite code hamstead . Congratulations to our Reception and Year 1 children that made it onto the leader board out of the whole of Birmingham- for the second week running! It would be wonderful to see even more St Mary's children on the leader board! This week's theme is Tri-golf!

Use the word 'blog' in the email subject.

Peaceful protests, mass marches, and portrayals of violence. Petitions, political speeches, and demonstrations. The last few weeks have seen movements advocating for an end to racial inequality on a mass scale. Yet, current affairs aren’t always tangible or immediately clear, especially from a child’s perspective. Many children may have questions about the images, stories, and conversations they hear on the news and around them. The resource below is intended to support conversations between parents/carers and children around the Black Lives Matter movement.

BBC Bitesize have created daily lessons for each of the subjects. They can be accessed at www.https://www.bbc.co.uk/bitesize/dailylessons

Oak National Academy have created a Government recommended home learning scheme which can be accessed at www.https://www.thenational.academy/
